Counselling sessions and fees
Counselling sessions will last for 1 hour, and the fee per session is $150. The frequency of sessions will depend on how often you would like sessions, this could be weekly, monthly, or bi-monthly. The fee for sessions
Cancellations
Should you need to cancel an appointment, please provide a minimum of 24 hours notice. If 24 hours notice is not given, the full fee will be charged for non-attendance or cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice.
Confidentiality Policy
Any information you share will be kept confidential unless you give permission to discuss it with another service (e.g., a referral agency). In these circumstances, where possible, you will be asked to sign a “request to release of information” form.
Limitations of Confidentiality:
Professionally mandated supervision
Where there is reasonable concern that the client is in danger of harming themselves or others
Where the client is suspected of, or is responsible for child abuse as per Chapter 16A of the Children & Young Person (Care & Protection) ACT 1998
Where a subpoena has been issued by an Australian Court
Where there is a legal obligation by an Australian Court
Where there is a legal obligation to do so
For auditing purposes
Expectations of Client:
Counselling sessions are available to provide emotional support and guidance, It is expected that a mutual relationship of respect will be established. No form of aggressive behaviour or communication will be tolerated, If any such behaviour is displayed during sessions, a warning will be provided; if the behaviour continues, the counselling relationship may be terminated.
